Update from the UH Retiree Benefits Task Force

You may recall that around the first of 2025 Piedmont filed that they would not submit any additional fillings which we were in agreement with. There was nothing new that the plaintiffs (us) and the defendants (Piedmont) could add to the case. The case continues to be in the hands of the Federal Court and the Judge. We have had no additional understanding of how long it will take for the Judge to make a ruling and in what form he will do so. We wish to again recognize the tireless effort of our lawyer Mr. Jack Long and his staff and the strong position we feel he has established with this case for our deserving retirees. The Task Force wishes we had more to report, but we do not. A new Medicare enrollment period starts in October and it appears we may get to continue our enrollment for another year.
